Es Socio del Estudio, integra el Consejo de Administración y coordina el Departamento de Derecho Societario.

Su área de práctica se concentra en el Derecho Empresario, en especial Derecho Societario y Derecho Concursal, y Derecho Laboral

Ingresó al Estudio en el año 1989. Ocupó diversos cargos públicos fue Asesor del Gabinete del Secretario de Trabajo del Ministerio de trabajo y Seguridad Social, Director Nacional de Asociaciones Sindicales del Ministerio de Trabajo y Seguridad Social, y Subsecretario de Relaciones Laborales de dicho Ministerio. Fue Presidente de la Comisión Nacional de Trabajo Agrario y miembro del Gabinete de la Juventud.

Durante 1998 ejerció la docencia como profesor adjunto en la materia legislación Civil y Comercial, en la Escuela de Hotelería de Buenos Aires y en distintos cursos brindados por el Ministerio de Trabajo y Seguridad Social.

Como integrante del Departamento de Nuevos Emprendimientos, desde el año 1999 ha asesorado tanto a Nuevos Emprendimientos como a los Centros de Emprendedores del IAE, Escuela de Negocios de la Universidad Austral; del CEMA; la Competencia “Desafío Joven” de SHELL y ACDE; y al recientemente creado Centro de Emprendedores del ITBA (del cual es Socio Fundador), brindando numerosos Seminarios sobre las cuestiones legales del Entrepreneurship.

Actualmente, y como integrante del Estudio, es Asesor Legal de Fundación Endeavor, colaborando con esta Institución en el fomento de la actividad emprendedora en la Argentina.

Asimismo, participó como expositor en los Seminarios organizados por la Revista Jurídica El Derecho sobre “Internet y Derecho” en el año 2000.
Se graduó en la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad del Salvador en el año 1995.

Con el propósito de brindar un mejor asesoramiento en materia empresarial, en el año 1997 realizó un Post-grado en Administración de Empresas en la University of California at Berkeley.

Participó en diversos cursos dictados por la Universidad de Buenos Aires, la Universidad Austral, y la Organización Estados Americanos en el país, así como por la Organización Internacional del Trabajo en el exterior (Turín/ Ginebra).

RAFAEL J. ALGORTA is a Partner, a member of the Boad of Directors, and coordinates the Corporate Department of the Firm.

Mr. Algorta concentrate his practice on Corporate Law, and Bankruptcy and Labor matters. He has an intensive experience in all areas of commercial and labor law litigation, and also corporate acquisitions, including the use of bankruptcy proceedings to purchase assets.

Mr. Algorta joined the Firm in 1988 and became a Partner in 1995.

He held several public offices in the Ministry of Labor and Social Security: Advisor to the Labor Secretary's Cabinet, National Director of the Labor and Trade Unions and Sub-Secretary of the Labor Relations National Board. He was also President of the National Agricultural Labor Commission and a member of the Youth Cabinet. During 1998 he was Assistant Professor of Civil and Commercial Law in the Buenos Aires Hotel Management School and lectured on several courses given by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.

As a member of The Entrepreneurship Department of the Firm since 1999, he has been the legal advisor of several Start Ups. He is also the legal advisor of some of the most prestigious Entrepreneurship Centers of Argentina, such as the Entrepreneurship Center of the IAE Business School; CEMA; Live Wire of Argentina (Shell Foundation), and ultimately the Entrepreneurship Center of ITBA (Technological Institute of Buenos Aires), where he is a Co Founder, and has lectured several courses on topics relating to Law for Entrepreneurs. He has also lectured in the "Law & Internet" course organized by "El Derecho" Law Review during year 2000.

Mr. Algorta received his degree from the El Salvador University School of Law. He has attended a Post graduate course on Business Management at the Berkeley University, California. He has also attended several courses at the Buenos Aires University School of Law, at the Austral University, at the Organization of American States, and at the International Labor Organization in Turin, Geneva.
